Academy Award Winning Director Robert Zemeckis was halfway through an $8 million home addition when he realized there was a problem. The head of the construction company he hired was not paying the subcontractors and would not return phone calls. Zemeckis decided to hire a private investigator that uncovered enough evidence that ultimately led to a 47-count criminal indictment of the construction executive.
